Our story
Sweet Es Flowers started as a love of gardening and growing beautiful things. Stacey, a longtime gardener had been planting more and more after moving to our home in Illinois in 2016. Elin, started with fairy gardens and as she got older she wanted to cut flowers to bring inside. Rather than continue this process we decided to make a garden specifically for her to cut from in the spring of 2020. When this happened the real magic began, the flowers and the arrangements that came inside our home filled us and the friends we gifted the flowers to so much joy! In 2020 when the world shut down, the garden and the flowers allowed us to pour our worry into hope for a brighter tomorrow. About this time, Stacey found herself learning more about the global effects of flower farming and decided that maybe should could help turn her love of gardening into a new adventure. Hours and hours of researching started and the first ideas began to swirl. In December 2020 we built new beds to grow flowers in and the dream of Sweet Es was born, it still didn’t have a name, it was just an idea and we were running with it. We quietly started telling friends of our idea and flowers and in July 2021 we officially sold our first jar of flowers. We now have become a full fledged flower growing family and offer sustainably grown, earth friendly locally grown flowers.
Who We Are…
We are a Mother and Daughter team who are gardening and flower obsessed. We occasionally call in the help of the best support staff around, our family! Stacey is the main gardener and the one who has fallen more and more in love with gardening as time goes on. She is currently obsessed with learning how to grow beautiful blooms, food for her family and gardening with native plants for improved habitat and wildlife. Stacey was a previous Speech Language Pathologist and as her role changed to being a stay at home mom she found the garden to be the quiet solitude she needed to take a few minutes to herself. Now as a mom of 3 busy kids she has continued to enjoy the garden. As the kids grew so did their love of the garden, in particular Elin’s love of flowers. Elin is the dreamer of the idea. Elin since little has never wanted to be told how to color, draw, paint or see the world. She is a talented and a whimsical artist and creator of content. She has helped to inspire her mom to grow more flowers and given her the permission to “think outside of the box.” Together they both grow and arrange flowers.

Our Mission
Founded by Stacey and Elin Laschen in 2021, our small business first opened with a dream to share our love of beautiful flowers with the community. Since the beginning, our mission has been to provide floral arrangements made and grown with love. It is our farms commitment to be sustainable and earth friendly. We are committed to not growing invasive species, not using pesticides and herbicides and to continue to enhance the native areas around our farm. We believe that by growing a healthy ecosystem and nurturing the land we farm on, we can coexist with nature and also enjoy its bounty. We enjoy providing beautiful flowers that are locally grown to our clients when in season. This along with our commitment to provide freshly cut beautiful blooms, has earned us a renowned reputation in the community — and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
